Prayer Ministries at First Church...

Thursday Morning Prayer Group

Meeting for over 25 years, this prayer group gathers at 7:00 on Thursday mornings to lift up the church's prayer list and share a time of devotion and fellowship over a light breakfast.

Friday Morning Men's Prayer Breakfast

This group of men, young and old, meet for breakfast, prayer, and study, every Friday at 6:30 in the morning.

Baby Prayer Shawls

First Church knitters gather monthly to create hand-made shawls for newborn babies within the congregation and beyond. Prayers are offered for the new children of God in our midst. Knitting is done at home, and the group gathers for final assembly and prayer.

Prayer Quilting

A faithful group of volunteers prepares prayer quilts for distribution to the homebound and persons with special prayer needs. The quilt knots are tied on Sunday mornings by church members who say a prayer as they tie the knots.

Walk the Labyrinth

First Church has a new tool for prayer and spiritual growth and its growing in our backyard! The labyrinth is a stone and grass path symbolizing our individual spiritual paths. Stop and walk it sometime soon.

  • For Jack S...In Good Sam Hospital for outpatient melanoma surgery on May 8th, 08.
  • For Sheila C. and her Mom, Helen.
  • For Stacy H and her Mother, Helen, who is in hospice care and not expected to live much longer.
  • My son, James S....began radiation surgery...he went to Sunday school here and sang in the choir for years.
  • Cheryl R....beginning new chemotherapy this week.
  • Sharon C.,...comfort and strength during this time.
  • Carol H-R....God to give help as she deals with cancer...the prayers are working for Carol...please continue.
